Charitable Street and House-to-House Collections

We accept written applications for charitable street collections in Oxford City Centre and surrounding area. The charity must be registered with The Charity Commission or have international charitable/humanitarian objectives. Each charity is allowed one collection a year on a specified date, time and location.

We issue a licence for the collection, which must be produced to Council Officers or Police on request. City Centre collections take place in Cornmarket Street Oxford and no inconvenience should be caused to the general public.

Permission to hold a charitable street collection is made in accordance with the provisions of the Police, Factories (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1916.
