What is the Oxford Enterprise Centre?

The Oxford Enterprise Centre at Standingford House provides small office and workshop units for local people starting-up their own business.

Where is the Oxford Enterprise Centre?

The Enterprise Centre is located in Cave Street in St Clement's, Oxford, and is managed on a day to day basis by our Financial and Asset Management department.

What can the Centre offer my business?

The Oxford Enterprise Centre contains 11 offices and 7 ground floor workshops, with units ranging in size from 17 square metres (188 square feet) to 57 square metres (611 square feet). They are available on the basis of three year (maximum) agreements with stepped fees over the period of each businesses occupation. This allows new businesses to establish themselves prior to a higher fee in the final year.

The fees are payable monthly in advance and are inclusive of:

• accommodation
• business rates
• background heating
• communal water rates
• caretaking (of communal areas) 
• parking (one space per business)

By the end of the agreement alternative accommodation should be found to allow other new businesses to move into the centre.

How do I apply for a place at the Enterprise Centre?

All applicants for units in the Oxford Enterprise Centre must be resident in the city of Oxford and must live within the Oxford City Council boundary. You can see a map of the boundary below:

A business plan outlining the activities and objectives of the proposed business is also normally expected. A waiting list is currently in operation for units at the Oxford Enterprise Centre.
