On 6 October 2008, Oxford City Council adopted a Motion concerning the use of powers contained in the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.
The Council has placed on record its opposition to the use of aggressive or intrusive surveillance under the 2000 Act. A report will be submitted to Full Council annually detailing the use of the powers by the Council in the previous 12 months.
