Community Toilets Scheme Feedback

In June 2010 Oxford City Council launched the Community Toilets Scheme (CTS) to enhance the provision of clean, accessible toilets available to the public in Oxford City Centre. 

We would like to hear your views on how you think the scheme is working. If you have made use of facilities provided by businesses as part of the scheme, or if you have any other comments or suggestions about the Community Toilets scheme then please email communitytoilets@oxford.gov.uk.

Please note: We would like to use your feedback in printed or electronic material to expand the scheme further. If you do not wish us to use your feedback in this way, please let us know.

Do you need to know where you can go?

We are enhancing our provision of public toilets in Oxford with our very own Community Toilet Scheme. We are working with businesses across the city centre to make more toilets available to the public across longer opening hours and in more convenient locations.

All the businesses involved in the scheme are happy to allow non-customers to use their toilet facilities during their normal opening hours.  Participating businesses will display a sticker in the window, so wherever you see this sign it means you are welcome to use the toilet facilities without necessarily having to ask or make a purchase. 

Initially the scheme is being launched in Oxford city centre, but in the future we will be expanding the scheme to other areas in the city - so you need never be caught short again!

Community Toilet Scheme for Businesses

Is your business happy to allow non-customers to use your toilet facilities? Do you think your business would benefit from being involved in the Community Toilet Scheme? If you join the scheme, we will provide you with lots of free advertising on our website, posters, leaflets, at the tourist information centre and on other scheme promotional materials. Oxford residents and tourists alike will have another good reason to come into your business and with any luck might spend a bit of money whilst they are there. It's a great way of showing community involvement as well as potentially boosting business.
