Caretaking Service

We provide the following caretaking services for Oxford City Council tenants and leaseholders living in tower blocks and all low-rise blocks of flats with internal shared areas. We will:

• Carry out thorough inspections, minor repairs and maintenance, such as changing low level light bulbs of shared areas.

• Report to the Housing Contact Centre other spotted repairs or defects including those to fixtures, fittings, surfaces, equipment or to the structures of the blocks, or to landscaped or shrub areas.

• Carry out routine cleaning of all our tower blocks on a daily basis for all shared entrance areas and hallways and on a regular basis for other shared areas.

• Carry out routine cleaning of our other blocks of flats shared areas on a two-weekly agreed schedule.

• Provide a 24-hour, 365 days a year, emergency caretaking service for our tower blocks.

• Within 24 hours of notification, remove or arrange for the removal of obscene, sexist or racist graffiti and within 14 days other graffiti on our properties. Visit our Graffiti page for more information.
