MOT Testing

We offer a comprehensive range of independent MOTs for Class IV, V and VII vehicles (cars, minibuses and light commercial vehicles) at our Cowley Marsh Depot, Marsh Road, Oxford, OX4 2HH. To book an MOT, please call us on 01865 252944.

Our fees are set out below. Fees are set by Vehicle and Operator Services Agency and are not subject to VAT. Fees are not under our control and may change:

Retests (Re- Examination)

We do not carryout repairs at our test station. If you need to repair your vehicle following the test, you must take it to another garage.

If the vehicle is brought back to our test station and retested before the end of the next working day on one or more of the following items only there will be no additional fee:

If the vehicle is removed from the testing station for repair and returned for retest within 10 working days following the day of the initial failure, then only a partial retest is needed and a partial retest fee may be charged.

Only one Partial re-examination is permissible per full examination. In any other case a full re-examination and full fee will be required.

Appeals

If you wish to appeal against refusal to issue a test certificate for your vehicle:

Ask for a form (VT17) - obtainable from the testing station or the VOSA website
Send the form, with a further full test fee, to reach the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency office shown below within 14 working days of the refusal notice issue date
If your appeal is successful, the fee or, if appropriate, part of it will be returned to you
Do not have your vehicle repaired before your appeal is considered. This is because any change to your vehicle may affect the outcome of the appeal
